Maintenance

The system is live. That is not where the work ends.

The systems we build run for decades, but only if someone keeps maintaining, monitoring and adapting them as the business changes.

The largest cost of software is not incurred during the build but afterwards, when nobody tends to it until something breaks. By then the fix is more expensive and the outage longer.

So maintenance for us is not passively waiting for a bug report but continuous care of the system, with agreed response times and planned upgrades.

How we do it

Monitoring and availability

We watch the system and get in touch before users notice a problem. Backups are verified, not assumed.

Security updates

Regular component updates and tracking of known vulnerabilities, including systems we did not build.

User support

A single point of contact for issues, with agreed response times and visible status for every ticket.

Continuous development

The business changes, so the system changes. We work in planned cycles rather than emergency interventions.

Frequently asked questions

Do you maintain systems you did not build?

Yes. Before taking over we run an assessment so we know what we are inheriting and can tell you what we found. That is a common way our engagements start.

How is maintenance charged?

Usually as a monthly package with an agreed scope and response time. Larger development work is handled separately, as its own agreed engagement.

Ready for the next step in digitalising your business?

If you are looking for a partner able to see a project through to completion, we suggest an introductory meeting. The meeting is non-binding and serves to establish your requirements.
